REGISTRATION
Please join us as we showcase Los Medanos College (LMC) student research and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) professional careers at the second annual Student Research Symposium on May 6th, 2016.
We are excited to provide all LMC STEM students and recent alumni the opportunity to present their findings from internships, honors projects, volunteer opportunities, and summer employment to the general community.
In addition, we have a wonderful group of invited speakers currently working in diverse STEM fields who will be sharing their experiences with us during breakout discussion sections.
We look forward to learning from all our incredible STEM presenters during this exciting day! Please use the form below and register to join us for this fantastic free event!

GENERAL INFORMATION
This symposium is free of charge for all attending, and we request that you please register online using the form at the bottom of this page.
Registration includes a personalized nametag, complimentary coffee break and lunch, entrance to all symposium sessions, and a ticket for our prize drawing at the end of the symposium.
Location:
Most events will take place in the Library Community Room (L109), however breakout sessions will be located in the Science Building Classrooms (details to follow).
Student Presentations:
Students may present their work in oral format.

Oral Presentations: Students will have 30 minutes for their presentations including time for additional questions. We recommend preparing a 20 minute talk to leave time for audience questions. Please bring your presentation on a flash drive and have a backup stored as well (online, disk, etc.). We will have a computer already setup for the presentations with a laser pointer and slide advance remote.

Poster Presentations: Students may prepare a 3 foot by 4 foot poster of their work to present. We will cover the cost of printing this poster if you provide us the PDF and pptx/ppt file you have prepared prior to the event. Helpful hints in designing posters can be found here:
